Join the Youth Committee for West Tech Fest 2026

Want hands-on experience delivering one of WA’s most exciting innovation festivals? WEST TECH NEXT is recruiting 4 to 6 students (aged 18 to 25) to join the Youth Committee for West Tech Fest 2026.

This is more than just a resume-builder. You’ll work closely with the festival founders and core team on planning, marketing, community engagement and on-the-ground delivery.

  • Stipend: $1,500 per committee member
  • Global opportunity: 1–2 committee members may attend Slush (Helsinki) or Panathēnea (Athens)
  • Curtin students: Participation can be formally recognised as part of your studies

What you’ll do

  • Advise on attracting young people to the festival
  • Plan and deliver an 18–25 year old-focused event during WTF 2026
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and attendee experience
  • Create social content and amplify festival programs
  • Support outreach to student and young professional networks
  • Bring ideas to make the festival inclusive, accessible, and exciting

Who should apply

  • Students aged 18–25
  • Passionate about innovation, startups, technology, or the future of industry
  • Keen to gain real-world experience, work in a small team, and make an impact
