About the scholarship
The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is an initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia and strengthen our people-to-people and institutional relationships, through study, language training and work placement undertaken by Australian undergraduate students in the region.
What is included?
Unparalleled opportunities for selected students to undertake long term study and work experience in the Indo-Pacific region. NCP Scholars will be supported by generous scholarship benefits and a dedicated case manager throughout their program. Benefits include:
- Travel allowance $3,000 (one-off)
- Establishment allowance $3,000 (one-off)
- Monthly scholarship allowance up to $3,000
- Mental health allowance up to $1,000
- Health and travel insurance
- Dedicated case manager
- Language training allowance up to $10,000
Where applicable, in addition to the above, up to one academic year’s international tuition fees to a max value of $15,000 per semester or $10,000 per trimester directly to the host university (for a fee-paying student who is going to a non-partner university).
