Reading time: 1 minute.

Discover how creative research is reshaping the way we think about the objects, materials and spaces that surround us.

The School of Design and the Built Environment Creative Practice Research Showcase 2026 brings together original work from across the School, highlighting innovative research and creative practice that explores the role of objects in shaping human experience, culture and the built environment.

Featuring interdisciplinary projects spanning design, making and experimentation, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with work that challenges perspectives, sparks curiosity and celebrates the power of creative inquiry.

The showcased works have undergone a blind review process by national and international reviewers, recognising the quality and breadth of research across the School of Design and the Built Environment.

Whether you’re a student looking for inspiration, a creative practitioner, or simply curious about contemporary design research, you’re invited to explore the exhibition.
