This event is presented by Curtin University’s School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry
Prompted by the exhibition Pasar Malam | Night Market: Contemporary Printmaking from Indonesia and Australia at the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre, this half-day seminar explores the relationships between Australia and Indonesia around contemporary art. Starting with a focus on the Artists’ Regional Exchange (ARX) series of events in Perth from 1987 to 1999, it will go on to explore current engagements between the two countries and opportunities to develop the relationship in the future.
Full program and session details can be viewed here.
With support from Visions of Australia, John Curtin Gallery and Project Eleven.
