If you’re planning to start uni in 2026 but haven’t applied yet, good news – you still have time! Here’s exactly what to do right now to secure your spot at Curtin.
And if you’ve already applied, we’ll run through offers, changing preferences and getting ready for life at Curtin.
Key 2026 application deadlines you need to know
- Main round applications close for semester 1: Saturday 20 December
- Main round offers available online and emailed: Wednesday 24 December
- Second round applications close: Wednesday 14 January
- Second round offers available online and emailed: Tuesday 20 January
- Undergrad Discovery Day: Thursday 22 January (2–6pm)
Already received an offer? Here’s what to do next
If you’ve received an offer from Curtin, you should accept the offer as soon as you can to lock in your place and get ready to start your university journey! If you’re not ready to begin study in 2026, you usually have the option to defer your offer and start later.
Did you receive an offer to enrol in a course that isn’t your first preference? Remember that you may still get an offer to enrol in your course of choice in the second round of offers – which will be emailed and available online on Tuesday 20 January.
How to change your course preferences
If you’ve changed your mind about the course you applied for, don’t worry – you can change your preferences for the second round of offers until Wednesday 14 January. If you applied through TISC, visit the TISC website and follow the steps under ‘Changing course preferences’. You’ll then be considered for the second round offers (unless you’ve already accepted an offer or you’ve let a first-preference offer lapse).
If you applied direct to Curtin, visit our Applicant portal and withdraw your application; then apply for the course you now want to study.

Register for Undergrad Discovery Day
In 2026, your Undergrad Discovery Day is on Thursday 22 January. It’s your summertime opportunity to explore the campus, ask questions and start feeling like a Curtin student before semester begins.
If you have questions about course admissions and pathways, Discovery Day is also the perfect time to have a 1:1 chat with our course and admissions experts. (In the meantime though, you can check out our online resources and FAQs.)
Plus, there’ll also be a range of expo booths, and you take a campus tour for a sneak peek into our learning facilities and accommodation.
And of course, no Discovery Day is complete without the live music, food trucks and vibe of a great event!
