Dear Curtin community,
We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the catastrophic flash floods affecting border villages between Nepal and Tibet.
Our thoughts are with every person and family directly affected, as well as anyone who has a connection to these areas, at this deeply distressing time.
Being away from home at a time like this is especially difficult so I want to assure you that the Curtin community is here to support you. Support is available for our students through the Student Wellbeing Advisory Service.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade also has a 24-hour Consular Emergency Centre that can be reached via 1300 555 135, or +61 2 6261 3305 (if calling from overseas).
The University will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
