As previously announced, Curtin is replacing its learning management system Blackboard with Canvas, which will see a great improvement to the digital learning user experience for students and staff. This move will be completed by 2027.
A major step in this project has been made with the introduction of a new tile on the homepage of OASIS, allowing students who are transitioning early to easily access Canvas, in the same way as they have been able to access Blackboard.
How will I know if I need to use Canvas?
Students who are impacted by the early transition to Canvas will be contacted by email and will predominantly be studying units that begin in 2026 and finish in 2027.
If you have not been contacted, this means you are still using Blackboard to access your learning materials for the study period, and you do not need to make a change.
