Snap & Map is Curtin’s biodiversity mapping initiative, inviting students, staff and visitors to help uncover and document the plants, animals and special places that make our campus unique.

Snap it. Pin it Put it on the map!

By uploading photos and pinning sightings across campus, participants contribute valuable information that helps build a better understanding of Curtin’s natural environment. The growing map supports efforts to protect, restore and enhance biodiversity across our campuses, while encouraging the Curtin community to connect with nature.

How to get involved

Using Snap & Map is easy. Get involved by pinning a Plant, Critter or Place as you learn, teach and experience our campus.

  1. Select what you would like to pin (Critter, Plant, Place, Weed).
  2. Zoom in and place a pin on the location.
  3. Identify it by name and upload a photo.

Every contribution helps create a better understanding of Curtin’s biodiversity and informs ongoing efforts to protect and support the natural environment across campus.
