Student accounts are prime targets for cybercriminals, especially during busy academic periods. A compromised login can mean lost assignments, leaked personal information, or even locked-out access to your student systems.
The good news? You don’t need to be a tech expert to protect yourself. Follow these tips to stay safe.
Our recommendations:
Pick a long phrase
- Use a passphrase instead of a password. Try four random words like “HappyMonkeysDanceAllDay” and aim for 20 or more characters. It’s easier to remember and much harder to crack.
Add some spice
- Symbols and numbers make your passphrase stronger. Try adding @, #, !, or spaces, for example: “happy M0NKEYS dance all day”.
Enable MFA
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds a second layer of protection. Even if someone gets your password, they still can’t log in without your approval.
