Want to volunteer in semester 1, but unsure what you want to get involved in? We’ve collated five opportunities to register for in semester 1.

#1 Merredin Agricultural Show (Friday 15th – Sunday 17th of March) 

Merredin Show is an annual celebration of community, agriculture, and entertainment that has been a cherished tradition for years. This vibrant event brings together locals and visitors alike to showcase the rich tapestry of the region. Join our volunteers to assist at this event and have the opportunity to explore regional WA!

#2: Micro-Volunteering Bravery Blanket Crochet (Every Monday, starting 11th March)

Get creative and join our volunteers to make beautiful crochet squares to be joined together for a Bravery Blanket for Wrapped in Love. This organisation’s provides handmade blankets to young people undergoing Cancer treatment.

#3: Micro-Volunteering Barefoot lunches (Every Thursday, starting 7th March)

Come along to Barefoot lunches, a Moroccan inspired picnic setting with live music, food trucks, treats and games at the Creative Quarter on campus. Get involved in one of the fun Micro-volunteering sessions that occurs each week at Barefoot Lunches.

#4 SERAG Environmental Conservation Initiative (Every Thursday, starting 7th March) 

Passionate about the environment and conservation? Love being outdoors? Join our Volunteers to assist the Swan Estuary Reserves Action Group Inc. with planting, restoration, weeding along the Swan River and make a difference to the local environment.

#5 Purple Walk for Epilepsy (Sunday 17th March)

The Purple Walk 4 Epilepsy Family Fun Day is Epilepsy WA’s annual community awareness and fundraising event. Join our volunteers to assist at the event and support in raising funds to enable Epilepsy WA to continue providing vital support services.
