Rule 3.1(1)(k)(i) of the Academic Board Constitution provides for the membership of the Academic Board to include, “one Professor elected by the Professors in the Faculty.” A Deputy to the member may also be elected under Rule 3.3(4).
Persons Eligible for Election
All Professors who are members of the academic staff of the Faculty of Science and Engineering are eligible for election to the Academic Board. However, no member shall serve for more than 3 successive terms (pursuant to Rule 3.4(4)(b) of the Academic Board Constitution).
Persons Eligible to Nominate a Candidate
A Professor, who is a member of the academic staff may nominate another Professor who is a member of the academic staff from the Faculty of Science and Engineering to be a candidate for this position, or may nominate themselves as a candidate for this position.
Please Note: If during the term of office, a person who is elected to this position ceases to be a member of the Academic staff, they would also cease to a member on the Academic Board.
