What you’ll learn
This course focuses on applied economics. You will study diverse economic challenges – including housing affordability, inequality, unemployment, climate change and energy.
You will learn how to use big data, statistics, mathematics and business insights to evaluate trends and patterns in consumer spending, competition in various industries, business cycles and financial crises. You’ll also gain a solid foundation in macroeconomics (factors that impact an economy as a whole) and microeconomics (the function of individual markets).
Economics gives you the tools to think analytically, make decisions and create solutions. You’ll also develop strong communication and interpersonal skills to share complex data with a general audience.
