Kurrajong Village

For those who enjoy tranquil gardens, a community atmosphere and outdoor entertainment.

Kurrajong Village is located to the southwest corner of Curtin Perth, a short walk to humanities and Curtin Aboriginal Studies areas and opposite Waterford Plaza shopping centre. There are four properties available within the tranquil gardens: Don Watts House, George James House, Japan House and Rotary International House.

Kurrajong Village was named after the Kurrajong Hotel, the favourite Canberra residence of former Australian prime minister John Curtin. Kurrajong Village is one of five properties on campus managed by UniLodge. Find out more by visiting the UniLodge website.

Your options

With the variety of rooms available, you will find one that suits your needs and budget.

Depending on the room type you choose, you’ll be able to stay in two, six or eight-bedroom multi-share apartments, or studio apartments, including ensuite options.

There are four ‘houses’ available in Kurrajong Village, each with different room options:

  • Don Watts House – with double studio rooms and eight-bedroom shared apartments.
  • George James House – with six-bedroom shared apartments.
  • Japan House – which has studio bedrooms with access to shared kitchen and living areas.
  • Rotary International House – which has premium and double studio rooms, and two- and eight-bedroom shared apartments.

In all properties you have your own bedroom which is furnished with a bed, fan, heater, study desk and chair, and cupboards for storage.

Studio rooms in Don Watts House and Rotary International House will have a single bathroom, plus a kitchen and dining area with cooking facilities, a small table, a fridge, and a lounge area with a television. In Japan House there is a common space within the house, with a shared kitchen and dining area.

Multi-share apartments in all houses will have one, two or three shared bathrooms, a lounge area with a television, a kitchen and dining area with cooking facilities, cupboards and large table, a microwave and one or two fridges. There is also a lounge area with a television.
