About the facilitators

Simon Andrew Sywak

Simon graduated from Sydney University in 1993, and has spent the last 27 years in financial markets working in London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia at Hedge Funds and Investment Banks. His career has grown from a local trader on the floor of the futures exchange to an institutional portfolio manager for global Hedge funds and proprietary trading desks. Over the last 15 years he was with JP Morgan Investment Bank developing trading systems and exchanges in Asia, and providing advisory services to hedge funds, fintech’s and family offices.

Simon has experience in Quantitative trading and operation workflows including.
• Trading and Operations workflows using financial instruments
• Technical and fundamental market analysis of Financial Markets
• Trading system development and workflows
• Portfolio construction and risk monitoring

He is currently completing his thesis in behavioural finance and market structure and has written papers and given lectures to a wide range of corporate and academic audiences. He currently lives in Perth and travels frequently to attend conferences and consulting appointments.
