Engineering students at Curtin University, particularly those specialising in Subsurface Engineering and those enrolled in the Master of Professional Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) program, now have access to the Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) Suite, a leading industry software package donated by PE Ltd (Petex).

The commercial value of the software package is estimated at £2,662,347.63.

Curtin University gratefully acknowledges Petex for its generous support of engineering education and research.

The donation includes 10 licences for PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL, and RESOLVE, industry-standard tools used for reservoir, well, and production systems modelling.

The software will support teaching and research activities, providing undergraduate, postgraduate, and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students with access to industry-relevant tools and practical modelling experience.
