Why study postgrad?
People study postgrad for different reasons. You may choose to study a course from your current field of expertise, to gain advanced or specialised knowledge, or you could choose a course from a different field, to take your career in a promising new direction.
Who is eligible for the Curtin Industry scholarship?
You must:
- be an employee of one of our industry partners
- currently residing in Australia
- commence an eligible postgraduate course at Curtin University in semester 1, trimester 1 or trimester 2, 2024
- apply for admission into an eligible postgraduate course at Curtin within the Curtin course application timelines.
Please note:
- Students undertaking studies via Open Universities are not eligible for this scholarship
- This scholarships cannot be accepted in conjunction with the PG Alumni Scholarship
What courses are eligible for the Curtin Industry scholarship?
Eligible courses
Most full fee-paying graduate diplomas or masters by coursework in the faculties of:
- Business and Law
- Humanities
- Science and Engineering.
Ineligible courses
- Any postgraduate course for which you have been offered a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Health Sciences courses
- Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies
- Graduate Diploma in Records Management and Archives
- Master of Architecture
- Master of Information Management
- Master of Teaching
How do I apply?
When applying for your chosen course, please attach a letter from your employer indicating your employment status with them and your intention to take up the Curtin Industry Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.
All candidates who receive a course offer will be automatically assessed for the scholarship. The scholarship discount will be applied by the census date for the relevant study period.
How do I maintain this scholarship?
- You must remain enrolled in your course for the duration of the scholarship
- Deferral of the scholarship is not permitted.
What is the value of this scholarship?
The Curtin Industry Scholarship will provide you with 15% off student tuition fees for the first year of study (up to a maximum of 200 credits).
Note: You are liable for your Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF) each semester, along with any other expenses incurred for you to undertake your studies (e.g. ancillary or incidental fees).
