Professional accreditation and recognition
The National ELICOS Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) states that English language centre senior managers must complete a TESOL postgraduate course.
After completing this course you can teach English overseas, in Australian private language schools or in university language centres.

Course structure
What you’ll learn
In the Master of TESOL you will study a combination of practical and theoretical units which come together to provide a valuable learning experience.
You will take units which develop your basic skills in TESOL and improve your English language awareness, and will explore theories which underpin English language teaching. You will gain confidence as a language educator to be able to use technology in your teaching, to provide students with effective learning experiences.
You will better understand the role of language in society and special topics such as Global Englishes. You will also develop your skills in research, undertaking a research project in your final year.
