Course overview
Build the skills to help you progress towards professional practice in clinical psychology.
In this course, you will develop advanced expertise in psychological assessment, case formulation, diagnosis, intervention, evaluation and research. With a strong focus on evidence-based practice, you’ll integrate current research with clinical decision-making to support effective care.
Through supervised training and placements in real-world environments, you’ll put your learning into practice. These experiences will help you build confidence in applying your knowledge and skills across a range of psychological presentations and professional settings.
You’ll also undertake a research project in clinical psychology or psychological practice, which includes planning and conducting research, analysing data and writing a dissertation.
If you’ve completed an accredited four-year sequence in psychology and want to prepare for professional practice as a clinical psychologist, this course may suit you. You’ll graduate with clinical training that forms part of the pathway towards a clinical psychology area of practice endorsement in Australia, subject to applicable registration and endorsement requirements.
This can be a physically and mentally challenging course. Please familiarise yourself with the inherent requirements before applying.
