In addition, applicants should be aware that medicine can be a demanding profession, with a number of inherent and professional requirements for students.
Note as a requirement of the MBBS, students are expected to undertake clinical placements, working directly with patients. As part of eligibility, students are required to obtain clearance in several areas. Please refer to the MBBS Admissions Guide.

Rural Entry Pathway (For Domestic applicants only)
An additional application form will be required for rural background entry. This form is to be submitted directly to the Curtin Medical School (Discipline of Medicine). Download the form
Equity Entry Pathway (For Domestic applicants only)
From 2023 admissions intake, Equity places will be available to Western Australian (WA) school leaver applicants who qualify for Curtin University’s StepUp Bonus scheme and meet the MBBS course admissions criteria. There is no separate application form for StepUp to Curtin based on school and applicants will be advised of their eligibility for the StepUp Bonus scheme in their Universities Admissions Advice Letter (UAAL). WA School leaver applicants experiencing financial hardship may be eligible for StepUp Bonus Scheme and should refer to StepUp to Curtin for instructions on how to apply.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Entry Pathway (For Domestic applicants only)
Applicants for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entry pathway must complete and submit the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entry application to Curtin Medical School (Discipline of Medicine) and applicants must meet the minimum admission criteria set out in the form. Predicted ATAR form (For Domestic and International applicants)
Predicted ATAR forms are no longer required. Current Year 12 WACE students will have a Predicted ATAR calculated from Year 11 results which are available on TISC. International Baccalaureate students and interstate applicants are advised to load their Year 11 results/reports as part of their TISC application.
