I’m Amber Richards-Matters, born in Townsville on Wulgurukaba Country, with proud European, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestry.
My role is to ensure students feel connected, supported and confident navigating university life.
Business and Law Indigenous engagement
The Indigenous Liaison Officer for the Faculty of Business and Law supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their university journey.
Support on offer
Assisting you to confidently navigate university systems, enrolment, services, and connecting you with the right people across campus:
- Navigating university from start to graduation
- Academic support services, including tutoring, library and study support plus Curtin Access Plans (CAP)
- Connecting students to relevant scholarships and financial support
- Linking students to culturally safe wellbeing services
- Access to laptops, internet and printing
- Advocating on your behalf to Curtin staff
