Social sport
Social sport is a simple and fun way to keep active and is open to everyone – students, staff & community members – with any level of sporting ability.
Registrations close Thursday 23 July or when sports reach capacity
When & where?
Social Sports is running from Monday 3 August until Wednesday 23 October. Games run at Curtin Stadium Monday to Wednesday evenings, from 6 PM to 10 PM.
How much?
$70 registration fee per team
FREE registration for teams made up of 100% Curtin students (game fees still apply)

Ready to play?
Rally your mates, pick your sport, and reach out before it’s too late! There’s still some spots available.
Under ‘Places Required’, select how many team members you have, will be required to provide details for each player, player lists can be updated post registration/during the season
If all your team members are Curtin University students, please insert the voucher code: ‘CUSTUDENTS’, this will allow you to register the team for free.
Submit your registration and get ready to play! You will receive a confirmation of your booking from noreply@payments.curtin.edu.au as well as an email from stadium@curtin.edu the week before the program starts.
Individual registration
Want to join Social Sports as an individual but don’t have a team? Sign up on the Just Play website, select your preferred sport and game night, then sign up, pay online and Just Play will manage the games for you – all you need to do is show up! You can even choose to sign up with friends and request to be allocated to the same team. Just Play guarantee that you will be placed in a team – or you’ll receive a full refund.
To make sure everyone has a fair and fun game, grading will occur in the first two weeks of the competition for evening competitions unless otherwise specified. Fixtures will be available on the website.
If your team notifies us of a forfeit by midnight the night before your game, a forfeit fee equal to 2x your weekly game fee will apply.
If your team forfeits on game day, fails to show up, or arrives more than 10 minutes late, a penalty fee equal to 2x your weekly game fee will apply.
All forfeit or penalty fees must be paid at reception before your team’s next game.
If your opponent forfeits, your team is still welcome to use the court during the scheduled game time.
Curtin’s Social Sports although competitive is by nature a social competition. This means that we provide a fun, safe, and enjoyable place for people of all abilities to participate in a range of sports. This takes place within our spirit of the game philosophy where there will be a zero-tolerance to any verbal and physical abuse, unsporting behaviour, rough play, intimidation, and intoxication.
All outdoor sports will continue to run in wet weather. Cancellation will only occur due to severe weather which is deemed hazardous due to strong winds, lightning or hail.
In the event of severe weather, the decision to cancel will be made at 4pm on the day of the game by the Sports Program Officer. Team captains will be contacted if this occurs.
