Information for Parents & Carers

Why is Young Minds: Our Future important?

Why is Young Minds: Our Future important?

Young Minds: Our Future is a national study looking at how common mental health issues are among Australian children and adolescents.

It provides the opportunity to see how things have changed over the last 10 years and find answers to important questions raised in the last survey, called Young Minds Matter.

The goal is to better understand how young people are feeling and what support they might need — now and in the future.

Who can take part?

Who can take part?

Families with kids aged 4 to 17 years who live in selected areas might be invited to take part in a national survey. This helps make sure the results reflect families from all across Australia.

If your family is chosen, someone from Roy Morgan will drop a letter and brochure in your mailbox before they visit your home. The letter explains what’s happening, and the brochure gives more details about the survey.
