The multidisciplinary Tribology Laboratory is equipped with the instruments for friction and wear measurements from Rtec Instruments (Universal Tribometer), Ducom Instruments (Linear Reciprocating Tribometer, Abrasion Tester (dry sand/rubber wheel ASTM G65)) and for optical surface imaging from Altimet (AltiSurf 530, surface roughness ISO standards).
The laboratory is also equipped with a number of custom-built rigs, including FZG gear test, tribo-corrosion (low stress) and pin-on-disk (reciprocating, unidirectional) rigs.
