SHRIMP is part of Curtin’s John de Laeter Centre. The Sensitive High Resolution Ion MicroProbe Facility (SHRIMP) incorporates large mass spectrometers that allow in-situ isotopic and trace element microanalysis of complexly zoned minerals in grain mounts and thin section plugs, with a spatial resolution of 5-20 microns.
