Curtin’s Perth campuses and venues are closed as part of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Many students will be aware of this evening’s announcement by the Premier of a four-day lockdown of the Perth and Peel areas. Accordingly, students should not attend Curtin’s metropolitan campuses and venues from midnight today (Monday 28 June) until midnight Friday 2 July.

Curtin’s Kalgoorlie campus will operate as usual.

We are aware that some Higher Degree by Research students who are not Curtin staff may need to visit campus to maintain experiments. If this applies to you, please email essential.worker@curtin.edu.au and include a clear justification as to why the work is considered essential, along with your student ID and the name of your supervisor.  Students who do not have access to online facilities or are at risk please email essential.worker@curtin.edu.au to request access to a computer laboratory, along with your student ID.  Please note that students must not leave their house to attend work without an essential worker approval email.

Anyone in the Curtin community who has been in an exposure site identified by the Government, or who develops symptoms, must be tested for COVID-19 and remain at home until they receive a health clearance and the lockdown has ended.  This requirement includes essential workers.
