City campus

The Curtin University Learning Institute team were integral in optimising teaching and learning in the building through the use of state-of-the-art collaborative and distributed learning space design and learning technologies. These facilities include a technologically equipped moot court, allowing for both traditional and seminar based learning, as well as practical interactions.

Since February 2017 the Law School has operated the John Curtin Law Clinic from the premises. In the Law Clinic, undergraduate and postgraduate law students provide advice and assistance to eligible clients under the supervision of lawyers. As of January 2020 the Law Clinic offers assistance in the following areas:

  • Small business disputes
  • Discrimination law

In this way, the John Curtin Law Clinic contributes to improved access to justice for vulnerable individuals within the community while simultaneously giving law students the opportunity to develop practical legal skills.
