English language requirements for not-for-degree study abroad and exchange students

You may use one of the following tertiary degree studies, accepted qualifications or accepted tests to satisfy our English language requirements.

The following studies must have been taught in English outside of Australia:

  1. Successful completion of at least one semester full-time or equivalent of an undergraduate or post graduate coursework degree level study at a recognised university* in New Zealand, Republic of Ireland or United Kingdom or;
  2. Successful completion of at least one year full-time or equivalent of an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree level study at a recognised university* in Canada, Singapore, South Africa or United Stated of America or;
  3. Successful completion of at least one year full-time or equivalent of an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree level study at a recognised institution* where the entire degree being studied is taught in English. You must supply an official letter on university letterhead issued from your institution certifying the course you are completing is taught entirely in English and that at least one-year of full-time study has successfully been completed.

The letter must be an official document from the institution on the institution letterhead.

*A recognised University is defined by the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
