Health Science Global Experiences
HS Global offers programs which provides students with the opportunity to be immersed in a different culture whilst completing fieldwork placements in Asia.
Health Sciences Global Experiences (HS Global) offers Health Sciences students opportunities to gain international experience as part of their studies.
Choose from our award-winning interprofessional clinical placements, discipline-specific programs and customised programs supported by third-party providers.
Our health-focused global programs give you the opportunity to work alongside students from other health sciences disciplines, develop your professional skills and experience healthcare in different cultural contexts.
Global experiences are currently available in Cambodia, China, Fiji, India, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. In 2027 we will be providing opportunities in Cambodia, China and Nepal.

Destinations and placements
It was a really good opportunity to work with other health students to gain a better understanding of their role. It was really good practice to how we would all work together in a clinical setting. I also loved getting to learn about a whole new culture, and meet the beautiful people that were a part of the communities.

How to apply
On a whole, my HS Global placement has been an unforgettable experience, one of which I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The people I have met, the skills that I have learnt, and the values that have been reinforced within me both as an individual and as a health professional will create great impact on me as I begin my journey as a Speech Pathologist.
Study Tours
Health Science Global Experiences run a number of tours throughout the year. Some are discipline specific, others are faculty wide and open to all students.
