Upcoming network outages at the Bentley Campus (including student housing) and Technology Park

Over the weekends starting from 6 pm on Friday 4 January 2019, through to the end of the first weekend in February 2019, Curtin will be performing a series of rolling upgrades with outages to the Curtin network environment at the Bentley Campus (including student housing) and Technology Park.

Will I be affected by the outages?

The outages will affect IT services and access to buildings across the Bentley Campus and Technology Park.

IT services in Student Housing on the Bentley Campus will also be affected.

How will I be impacted?

The buildings listed above will not have network connectivity in the weekend they are being upgraded.

Services that will be affected include:

  • Internet access
  • Shared drive access
  • Printing functionality
  • Network connectivity
  • Desk telephones
  • EFTPOS
  • Wireless connectivity (indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi in the area)

Once the network upgrade for a weekend has been completed, all network services will return to normal operation.
