Ever scrolled past a Curtin video, spotted a student on campus signage or watched someone share their university experience and thought, “I could do that”?
Well, now you can put your hand up.
Seen at Curtin is Curtin’s student talent pool, connecting students with opportunities to be featured, have their say and get involved in projects happening across the University.
From appearing in a social media campaign to joining a photoshoot, sharing your experience in an interview or giving feedback in a focus group, there are plenty of ways you could get involved.
And no, you don’t need to be an influencer, content creator or someone who loves being in front of a camera.
What could you be invited to?
Opportunities will vary throughout the year, but could include:
- Photoshoots for Curtin campaigns, websites and promotional materials
- Videos and social content shared across Curtin channels
- Student interviews where you can talk about your experience, course or life at Curtin
- Campaign features that put real Curtin students at the centre of the story
- Focus groups and feedback sessions where your perspective can help shape future projects
- Other paid and unpaid opportunities available across the University
Some opportunities might put you in front of the camera. Others might simply need your ideas, experiences or perspective.
Why join Seen at Curtin?
University is full of experiences that can disappear pretty quickly once the semester is over.
Seen at Curtin gives you the chance to leave your mark on the Curtin community and be part of something that other students might see, relate to or learn from.
You could find yourself representing your course, sharing what student life is really like, helping another student feel seen or simply trying something completely outside your usual uni routine.
It can also be a chance to meet new people, build confidence, experience how creative projects come together and have something a little different to talk about when someone asks, “So, what did you actually do at uni?”
You don’t need a particular “type” of experience
There isn’t one version of a Curtin student, and that’s exactly the point.
Whether you’re in your first semester or nearing graduation, studying locally or internationally, heavily involved on campus or usually heading straight home after class, your experience is part of Curtin too.
We’re looking for students with different personalities, interests, backgrounds, courses and stories.
You just need to be willing to get involved.
What happens when you sign up?
Complete the Seen at Curtin expression of interest form to join the talent pool.
Joining doesn’t lock you into anything. When an opportunity comes up that might suit you, we’ll send the details straight to your student inbox.
You can then decide whether it’s something you’d like to take part in.
