Every time you choose an alternative way to travel, you help reduce campus congestion and lower your environmental impact. With Try it Tuesday wrapped up for the Semester, reflect on the amazing impact you made and keep the momentum going.
Small swaps, big wins
Running on Tuesdays during teaching Weeks 2–10, Try it Tuesday encouraged students to leave the car at home and try alternative transport. Students were rewarded with a $5 Guild café voucher for making the switch.
The results are in:
- We handed out 250 gift cards each week to students who took alternative transport
- An estimated 300 of you visited the stall in the Library each Tuesday
- 23 students won YETI water bottles, as well as more than 2000 other prizes handed out!
Although the campaign has wrapped up for this year, why not continue using alternative transport and lowering your carbon footprint.

Explore your travel options
Public transport
The Perth campus has two bus stations with regular Transperth services. Full-time Curtin students can access a Tertiary SmartRider for concession fares on buses, trains and ferries. Use your travel time to study, listen to a podcast or relax.
Walking, cycling and e-rideables
Curtin offers free secure bike and scooter parking, and facilities such as showers, lockers and change rooms.
curtinlink
curtinlink is Curtin’s free, on-demand mini-bus service, with no fares, fixed timetables or set routes. Book through the app and travel when it suits you.
Driving and parking
Use CellOPark for short-term parking and pay only for the time you park. Remember to set up the app before arriving. To stay up to date with changing parking conditions on the Perth campus, you can visit the Properties website and regularly check OASIS News.
Keep the momentum going
Whether you catch the bus, use CurtinLink, walk or cycle, every alternative trip helps create a more sustainable Curtin. Make your journeys count.
