Constable Care Foundation and the University of Queensland’s Critical Thinking Project have partnered to deliver the Teaching for Thinking (T4T) Foundational Workshop professional development opportunity to school leaders and educators for the first time in WA.
T4T empowers educators to use cognitive verbs with precision and intentionality, and to design learning experiences that engage students in inquiry processes.
The training benefits the whole school, supporting faculty collaboration through shared language and assessment strategies for student cognition
The membership fee of $550 per person includes the fully catered two day workshop, as well as 12 months access to the University of Queensland Thinking Schools Network (UQTSN) activities, masterclasses, mentoring, and resources. School principals may attend the workshop free of charge.
The workshop is presented by Dr. Peter Ellerton, Australia’s leading Teaching for Thinking trainer, Curriculum Director at UQ’s Critical Thinking Project, and UQ Senior Lecturer. Peter consults for many state and national jurisdictions, and was instrumental in writing V9.0 of Critical and Creative Thinking (General Capabilities).
There are two upcoming two-day workshops:
- South West – Dalyellup, 17 to 18 August
- Perth – Banksia Grove, 20 to 21 August
