Did you know that the Safer Community Team has a security escort service that can help you travel around campus safely?

If you are visiting the campus at night and friends and colleagues aren’t available, the Security Pedestrian Escort Service can escort you to your car, other parts of campus or to student housing villages.

To organise a security escort, please call the Safer Community Team on 9266 4444.

Please note that you may have to wait 10-15 minutes before a Safer Community Team officer is available to escort you, so please try to plan your request in advance. All members of the Safer Community Team are Curtin employees and carry identification.

During semester a free hail and ride service also operates on weeknights providing a safe and convenient means of transportation around the Bentley campus, including student housing villages.

The service is available between 6pm and 2am, ring the Safer Community Team on 9266 4444 to request this service.

  • Service runs during normal semester weeks and examination weeks
  • Services are not available on weekends, University holidays, inter-semester breaks or tuition-free weeks

You can also keep in direct contact with our Curtin Safer Community Team, with SafeZone, a free smartphone app for all students, staff and visitors.
