City After Dark: Fremantle is a free, interactive walking tour designed to help students build the confidence and skills to enjoy a safe night out.
Led by a WA Police Officer and a Constable Care Foundation assistant, the three-hour tour takes you through Fremantle’s entertainment precinct after dark, showing how the area changes at night and highlighting common safety risks, including theft and assault.
Modelled on the award-winning City After Dark tours in Perth CBD and Northbridge, the experience provides practical, real-life advice on how to recognise risks, make safer decisions, protect your belongings and look out for your mates.
Whether you’re new to Perth, new to Fremantle or simply want to feel more prepared before your next night out, this tour is a great way to build confidence and stay informed.
Tour details
When: Monday to Thursday evenings, 5.15pm – 8.30pm
Where: A meeting point in Fremantle will be provided upon booking.
Who: Groups of up to 30 students (plus teachers or parent volunteers where applicable)
Cost: FREE
What to wear:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Long sleeves and long pants
- Warm clothing if cooler weather is expected
The City After Dark program also includes a short survey before and after the tour to evaluate the experience and help improve future safety education.
