Reading time: 2 minutes
Eating well while studying is important. It gives you the fuel you need to power through your day-to-day but it doesn’t have to mean you have to spend more to do that.
The Curtin Student Guild and Foodbank WA are teaming up to deliver Nom! Sessions. It is a series of free, hands-on cooking and nutrition sessions designed to help Curtin students build practical food skills while making the most of their grocery budget.
Each two-hour session combines practical nutrition and food budgeting advice with hands-on cooking. You’ll learn useful tips you can take into your everyday life, then put them into practice by preparing a simple meal and enjoying it with other Curtin students.
What to expect
Each Nom! Session includes:
- 30–45 minutes of discussion on a nutrition or food budgeting topic
- 45–60 minutes of hands-on cooking, using recipes from Superhero Foods HQ
- 30 minutes to enjoy the meal together and connect with other students
Whether you’re trying to stretch your grocery budget, reduce food waste, build your cooking confidence or learn more about healthy eating, there’s something practical to take away from each session.
