Looking for a way to combine travel, study and career development during your summer break? Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) students have the opportunity to study overseas through a range of Winter School and short-term study programs across Europe in January and February 2027.
Whether you’re interested in business, finance, marketing, sustainability, innovation or leadership, these international experiences allow you to gain academic credit while immersing yourself in new cultures and building your global perspective.
Discover Finland, Sweden and Beyond
Study in Helsinki through the Aalto University Winter Studies Program, where you can choose from more than 40 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including International Accounting, Global Logistics, Urban Economics and Digital Sustainability & Ethics. Students can also experience Finnish student life and even join an optional trip to Lapland.
Economics, finance and accounting students can explore the Nordic Winter School, delivered across Sweden and Finland. This unique program examines major global challenges through a Nordic lens, with modules in Behavioural Finance, Crypto Assets and Sustainable Finance.
Study in some of Europe’s most exciting cities
Interested in marketing, management or sustainability?
The ESSCA Winter Schools offer study opportunities in:
- Budapest, Hungary: International Marketing and Crisis Management, or CSR & Humanistic Management.
- Paris, France: Luxury Marketing and Consumer Experience.
Students can also study in Berlin, Germany through the HWR Berlin Winter School, choosing between Consulting for Dynamic Innovation or Strategy and Brand Management in the Brewing Industry.
For those interested in entrepreneurship, leadership, AI and innovation, the MCI Winter School in Austria offers flexible study options, including courses delivered on campus in the Austrian Alps and online.
Meanwhile, students can experience Italian culture and education through the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Winter Program in Milan, with courses covering entrepreneurship, sustainability, personal branding and the global economy.
Prefer to study online?
If international travel isn’t possible, the WHU Online Bachelor European Program provides an opportunity to learn about European business practices from anywhere in the world. The course, Doing Business in Europe, is designed specifically for business students from Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Earn credit towards your degree
Many of these programs offer Curtin credit, allowing you to progress your studies while gaining valuable international experience. You’ll also have the chance to strengthen your intercultural skills, expand your professional network and stand out to future employers.
How to apply
Places are limited and applications are submitted through FBL Global via an Expression of Interest (EOI). Application deadlines vary by program, with the earliest closing on 14 September 2026.
