The refreshed OASIS launched on 17 June, and we hope you’re enjoying the streamlined experience.

This update is the result of feedback from more than 21,000 students across learning modes and campuses, ensuring OASIS works for the entire Curtin community.

Read on to see your feedback and how we responded.

You said, we did

You said: OASIS was hard to navigate.

“It can be difficult finding the right information and you seem to have to jump from page to page. I’m hoping that I’m not missing anything, but I’m unsure if I am.” – Online undergraduate student.

We did: We built the navigation around how you categorise the information in OASIS — Home, Studies, Curtin Life, and Support — to make finding what you need faster and easier.

You said: Some of OASIS was hard to use. Some of it you couldn’t use at all.

We did: We had OASIS independently audited against accessibility standards, plus a usability review. We prioritised critical fixes and ones that made OASIS work better for everyone.

You said: The experience felt outdated.

“The UI is extremely crowded on some pages and then too simple on other pages.” – 2nd year undergraduate student .

We did: A modern new look that’s more usable, accessible, and easier to use on mobile.
