Get involved as an O‑Week Volunteer in Semester 2, 2026!

Interested in being part of a diverse events team, making new friends, and supporting students as they begin their Curtin journey? As an Orientation Week Volunteer, you’ll play a key role during Semester 2 O‑Week (July 13 – 17) by welcoming new students, providing support, facilitating activities and helping deliver campus tours.

Volunteering at O‑Week is a great way to connect with students from across Curtin while helping create a friendly, inclusive and supportive start to semester for new arrivals.

Eligibility

Applications are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all study areas at Curtin Perth (Bentley campus).

To apply, you should:

  • Have completed at least one semester in your course
  • Be reliable and proactive
  • Enjoy helping and supporting others
  • Have strong communication skills

Your contribution as a volunteer is vital to creating a positive Orientation Week experience for new Curtin students.

What you’ll gain

  • The chance to be part of the O‑Week events team and meet students outside your study area
  • Opportunities to build leadership, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills in a fun, event‑based environment
  • A certificate of participation recognising your involvement
