In the latest episode of I’m at Curtin, Now What?, Ravish and the gang test their knowledge on Aussie snacks and cuisine… but with a twist. One of them is secretly given an impostor dish, and the challenge is figuring out who’s faking it.

Between guessing games and trying to spot the impostor, the conversation naturally turned to what really matters during long study sessions: snacks. And if anyone’s got strong opinions on the ultimate study fuel, it’s Ravish.

Ravish’s Top 5 Study Snacks (With Questionable Nutrition Advice)

Coming in hot, and slightly chaotic, here are Ravish’s essential study snacks. Ranked for taste, energy, and snackability:

1. Monster Mango Loco
Technically a drink, but according to Ravish, “It’s a smackin’ drink, so it counts.” Packed with sugar, flavour, and questionable life choices, this mango-flavoured energy boost is his go-to when he needs to wake up fast.

2. Red Rock Deli Sweet Chilli & Lime Chips
For those who like their study snacks with a tangy kick. Ravish rates these for their “perfectly sweet, limey, tangy” flavour combo. Basically, they taste like motivation in chip form.

3. Kit Kat (Preferably the Mini Bars)
Chocolate meets convenience. Ravish loves a Kit Kat for the portion control factor, easy to share, easy to stash in your bag, and perfect for breaking up the stress of back-to-back study sessions.

4. Gummy Bears
Sometimes it’s not about flavour, it’s about texture. Ravish rates gummy bears as the ideal chewy, sugary distraction mid-study, especially for those who just want something fun to snack on.

5. The Caramel-Filled Chocolate Bar
Not to be confused with caramel-flavoured chocolate, this is the proper two-step process chocolate bar with gooey caramel inside. Ravish warns it’s “a bit too sweet” for long study sessions but fun for the occasional treat when your brain needs a sugar rush.

Bonus Round: Best Aussie Study Snack?

As for iconic Aussie snacks, Ravish admits his snack knowledge isn’t the deepest, but there’s one easy winner: Tim Tams. The caramel ones, specifically. Shapes (pizza flavour, naturally) came close, but Tim Tams—especially when dunked in coffee or tea—are elite-level fuel for late-night assignments.

Moral of the Story? Snack Strategically

Snacks won’t magically write your essay, but they’ll definitely get you through the rough parts. Ravish’s advice? Keep your snacks within reach, your energy levels up, and your study playlist ready. And hey, maybe limit the Monster to avoid the 3am existential crisis. But that part’s up to you.
