The School of Design and the Built Environment (DBE) proudly launched its 2024 GLOBETROTTING exhibition, celebrating the dynamic international engagement that shapes student learning. This inspiring showcase highlights the experiences of 246 students across 52 global programs, including study tours, fieldwork, student exchanges, industry internships, and participation in prestigious events such as COP24. A key moment of the evening was the introduction of RETROACTIVE: Two Decades of DBE Global Study Activity, a publication capturing the remarkable journeys of students over the past 20 years.

This year’s exhibition reflects DBE’s commitment to cultivating global citizens through cultural immersion, collaboration, and shared learning experiences. With activities spanning 18 countries, many programs were made possible thanks to generous Federal Government support, particularly through the New Colombo Plan. The event also welcomed former students, industry leaders, and community partners, fostering valuable connections and celebrating the impact of global education.

Aligning with Curtin University’s 2030 Strategic Plan, the GLOBETROTTING exhibition exemplifies the power of international partnerships in advancing learning, sustainability, and innovation. The School extends heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and supporters who make these opportunities possible, ensuring students continue to thrive through transformative global experiences.
