Inter-university sport

You can represent Curtin University in a range of competitions against other universities across Australia.

Travel across Australia or compete against our local rivals. There are both participation and competitive opportunities available, meaning everyone has a chance to represent Curtin.

Uni Nationals

Uni Nationals provide an opportunity for students to go head to head in a number of national standard sporting competitions. In 2023, the UniSport Nationals will be held on the Gold Coast from 23 to 29 September. For more information on Uni Nationals, visit the UniSport Australia website.

Western Series

UniSport Australia, in conjunction with the five Western Australian universities, runs the Western Series Inter-Varsity competition, a calendar of inter-university events where you can represent Curtin against our Western rivals.

Indigenous Nationals

Indigenous Nationals is a multi-sport competition for Indigenous student-athletes. The annual event brings together student-athletes from universities across Australia to compete in a variety of sports. In 2023, the 27th Indigenous Nationals will be hosted by Monash University in Victoria, from 26 to 30 June. The event will be contested in a mixed competition across touch football, basketball, netball, and volleyball. For more information, visit the UniSport Australia website.

University Basketball League

UBL is a student-only competition run by UniSport Australia. In 2023, there are 13 universities from around Australia who will compete in both men’s and women’s events.
