Take your sport to the next level at Curtin. From representing the University at regional, national and international events to accessing support as a student athlete, our competitive sport programs help you balance academic success with sporting excellence.

UniSport Nationals
UniSport Nationals provides an opportunity for Curtin students from universities across Australia to compete in a number of national standard sporting competitions. In 2026, UniSport Nationals will be held in Boorloo (Perth), between Saturday 26 September and Friday 2 October.

Indigenous Nationals
Indigenous Nationals is a multi-sport competition for Indigenous students. The annual event brings together student-athletes from universities across Australia to compete in a variety of sports.

Elite Athlete Program
Curtin is dedicated to supporting students in dual pursuits of academia and performance sport. The Elite Athlete Program provides support to Curtin students who are competing at an elite level of their chosen sport while completing tertiary studies at Curtin.

University Basketball League
The NewBalance University Basketball League (UBL) is a national competition, which brings together 12 universities from across Australia to compete for the national title. Sanctioned by UniSport Australia and in partnership with Basketball Australia, the league provides student-athletes with a national platform to showcase their talent while balancing their academic pursuits.
