Curtin Singapore is moving to an exciting new campus location in 2022, alongside the National University of Singapore (NUS), the National University Hospital (NUH) and Singapore’s new Greater Southern Waterfront development.

Curtin Singapore will be the anchor tenant of The Alpha building within the country’s Science Park 2 precinct, which is a thriving hub for innovation and research.

Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said the strategic location heralds a new focus on research at Curtin Singapore to inspire fresh collaborations with industry and across borders, including with colleagues from Curtin’s global campuses.

“This new campus will not only become a research hub, but its proximity to nearby organisations, including those located within the science park community, will offer a range of industry-focussed engagements and employment opportunities for our students,” Professor Hayne said.

“Curtin Singapore is a wonderful example of Curtin’s strength and standing as a global university and the new campus will continue its legacy of providing a world-leading education for students who want to live, work and study in this cosmopolitan city.”

Curtin Singapore Pro Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Linley Lord said, in keeping with its new location, six additional courses would be offered at the new campus, including undergraduate and post-graduate programs in Science and Engineering.

“We are thrilled to be entering this exciting new era for Curtin Singapore that will further enhance our campus and the city as one of the premier destinations for higher education in the region,” Professor Lord said.

The relocation will also offer staff and students excellent amenities, including recreational and childcare services, and various food and beverage outlets

Curtin Singapore is consulting with staff, students and stakeholders on the campus design and is expected to move to its new campus by the end of April 2022. Until then, teaching will continue at its current Jalan Rajah campus.

Curtin Singapore was first opened in 2008 and is one of Curtin University’s four international campuses.
