Curtin University’s Learning Futures Advisor has been appointed to the Advisory Board of a global network of educators aiming to make a lasting positive change for students.

Mr Kim Flintoff, from Curtin Learning and Teaching at Curtin University, will join 19 other members of OneHE’s Advisory Board, which includes members from across Australia, Canada, Europe and Africa.

Mr Flintoff said he was excited to develop important global connections and play a role in expanding the opportunities available for students across the world.

“As the only Western Australian representative on the Advisory Board, I hope to represent the State’s unique perspective as part of the considerations of this global network of educators,” Mr Flintoff said.

“I am keen to help shape a positive platform for engagement and look forward to fostering innovation and transformation in learning and teaching as part of this role.”

Curtin University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Jill Downie congratulated Mr Flintoff on his appointment to the OneHE’s Advisory Board.

“Formed in 2018 by former directors of the UK Higher Education Academy, OneHE is taking education connection, collaboration and innovation to a new and international level,” Professor Downie said.

“Mr Flintoff’s appointment to the Advisory Board ensures Curtin University will play a key role in the development of the global higher education community and benefit from the shared insights, knowledge and research collaborations.”
