The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (The AusIMM) will be hosting the New Leaders’ Conference in Kalgoorlie from 23 to 24 March. Curtin WA School of Mines is a Major Sponsor of the event, along with BHP Billiton.

Professor Steve Hall, Director of Curtin WA School of Mines will be one of the keynote speakers, delivering a speech titled ‘Back to the Future? A globally-connected mining school for the 21st Century’.

The New Leaders’ 2015 conference theme is ‘Building your career: leading your community’ and focuses on inspiring delegates to build strong careers and become the future leaders of the minerals industry. Delegates will be able to learn essential skills and knowledge directly from the personal career experiences of senior professionals.

The conference will be attended by leaders of the mining industry (both nationally and internationally), Curtin graduates and students from across the country.
