During January 9th – 11th 2023 at the Curtin University Library, an intimate symposium was held on the topic of ‘Reimagining the Global Nuclear Order’ supported by Curtin’s Global Futures Platform.

The Faculty of Humanities co-hosted the event with staff from the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs, led by Director Frank Gavin and Curtin’s Dean of Global Futures Professor Joseph Siracusa.

Academics and industry guests from North America, Europe and Australia gathered to reflect on and discuss the history and evolution of the global nuclear order.

A student challenge was also held around the symposium, students attended the symposium and were encouraged to test their ideas and answers to the provocation with the international experts, resulting in some thought-provoking knowledge sharing with attendees leaving the symposium with an updated imagination on the Global Nuclear order and some new-found connections.

The Faculty would like to thank and acknowledge Professor Joseph Siracusa, Professor Francis (Frank) Gavin and our Curtin Staff along with our Global Futures symposium guests who made the event successful.
