On Friday 8 May, we invite the Curtin community to drop by and get crafty at a collage-making session to raise awareness about gender-based violence and create a safer community among your peers on campus.

Gender‑based violence means any form of physical or non‑physical violence, harassment, abuse or threats, based on gender, that results in, or is likely to result in, harm, coercion, control, fear or deprivation of liberty or autonomy.

Event highlights

  • Creative expression: Everyone is encouraged to share their vision of respectful relationships, safety and community.
  • Start a conversation: Conversations about respectful relationships facilitated by peer educators from All It Takes.
  • Build community: Make connections with others in a safe space on campus.
  • Light snacks provided: Enjoy some light snacks while you get crafty!

Showing love and support for yourself and those around you fosters a community where people are empowered to call out disrespectful behaviour and seek help in their recovery.

We invite everyone – students, staff and community members – to drop by and create your own visual demonstration of what respect means to you.

All materials will be provided at the event. However, you can bring your own personal imagery (such as magazines) if you wish!
