The Faculty of Business and Law warmly invites academics, researchers, Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students, industry professionals, government representatives, community partners and alumni to attend the 2026 Research Symposium – Future Ready Economies: AI, Resilience and Trust in a Changing World.
Held over two days, this event brings together researchers and interested stakeholders to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our future economy, institutions and communities. Through thought-provoking presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities, attendees will engage with research that addresses some of today’s most pressing issues, including artificial intelligence, digital trust, sustainability, governance, resilience, climate-related policy, housing and community wellbeing, critical minerals, financial markets and social impact.

The Research Symposium showcases the breadth and impact of research across Curtin University’s Faculty of Business and Law. Designed to foster meaningful engagement between academia, industry and government, the Symposium highlights evidence-based insights that can support better decision-making, innovation, policy development and organisational resilience.
Day 2: HDR Colloquium
Thursday, 1 October 2026
The HDR Colloquium provides an opportunity to engage with emerging researchers and discover innovative research being undertaken by the next generation of scholars. Attendees will gain insights into new perspectives, emerging research talent and future research directions across business, law and related disciplines.
