Celebrate inclusion, community and a splash of colour at the Wear It Purple Colour Run as part of the 2026 Western Series Pride Cup.
Hosted by UWA Sport, this exciting inter-university event brings students together for a fun afternoon featuring a colour run, live DJ, special guests and plenty of purple.
Curtin is looking for 8–20 students to represent the university in a friendly 3 km cross-country challenge against the other Western Series universities. Suitable for a range of fitness levels, the course follows the UWA Parkrun route before opening up for a colourful fun run for everyone to enjoy.
What is Wear It Purple Day?
Wear It Purple Day is an annual awareness day celebrating and supporting LGBTQIA+ young people. It encourages everyone to show their support by wearing purple and helping create safe, inclusive and welcoming communities.
Before you run
- Wear white if you want the colours to really pop! They’ll wash out afterwards.
- The colour powder is gluten-free, non-hazardous and approved by UWA’s on-campus safety team.
- Competitive runners will receive a coloured wristband so officials can record points for Curtin.
Interested in representing Curtin? Register your interest with Andrew McBean (andrew.mcbean@curtin.edu.au) by Friday, 31 July 2026.
