It can be overt, covert or subtle. It can be repeated or a one-off incident. Sexual harassment can cause harm to the person it is directed at, as well as anyone who witnesses the behaviour. Sexual harassment can also have a devastating effect on the culture of the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Safety not only includes an absence of physical harm, but also includes mental well-being and preserving human rights and dignity, including the right to work without being subject to bullying, intimidation and sexually harassment. Ensuring that work and workplaces are free from bullying and harassment is the responsibility of workplace owners and managers and is supported by processes and remedies through state institutions. In particular, survivors of sexual harassment require remedies and processes that are easy to access, comprehensive in their coverage and offer effective remedies for those involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-day program will focus on understanding the definition and range of behaviours associated with workplace sexual harassment, the impact of sexual harassment on individuals and organisations, the legal framework around sexual harassment, and policies and practices to prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace. Her doctorate examined policy and change management behaviours. She holds dual master degrees in Business Leadership (MBL) and Executive Health Economics (MSc) from the London School of Economics. Her research on Work Strain and Health Consequences and on Industrial Relations have been published in leading peer reviewed Industrial Relations journals and various professional and media outlets. She is regularly invited for interviews and commentary with national broadcasters including ABC radio. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) from the University of Western Australia. He is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy. Leigh actively researches in both substantive law and the scholarship of learning and teaching. His recent substantive law research has encompassed a range of areas including academic freedom, negligence, and unfair dismissal. Leigh&#8217;s scholarship of learning and teaching is focused on learning outcomes, graduate attributes, and the regulation of the Australian higher education sector. His work has been published in journals including the Tort Law Review, Adelaide Law Review, Monash University Law Review and Economic and Industrial Democracy.<\/p>\n\n        \n
